HLTAID009 – Provide cardiopulmonary resuscitation

this course is delivered in partnership and under the auspices of Allens Training Pty Ltd RTO 90909

This unit describes the skills and knowledge required to perform Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) in line with the Australian Resuscitation Council (ARC) Guidelines.

No Licensing or Pre-Requisites required.

Learn how to:

  1. Respond to signs of unconscious/casualty.
  2. Perform CPR
  3. Obtain assistance and communicate the details of incident to officials.

This course covers:

  • ARC guidelines, State and territory regulatory requirements and industry practices.
  • Stress management in times of crisis.
  • Anatomy relating to CPR.
  • Duty of care requirements.
  • Accessing emergency services.
  • Procedure and application of CPR.
  • Understanding of the use of an Automated External Defibrillator (AED), including when to use and when not to
  • Relevant workplace hazards.

Expected Duration: 3 hours (minimum full face to face)

Modes of delivery:

  • Blended delivery: 2 hours minimum face to face with an additional 1 hour self paced learning

  • Refresher training 2 hours face to face 

  • Online training with face to face assessment – 30 min face to face assessment with an additional 3 hours self paced learning. To be completed prior to the face to face course

     

Location: Swfaservices can provide training onsite at the workplace or the office of south west first aid services 

Fees: Fees are provided upon inquiry of the course.  Fees do not affect cancellation as they are paid at the time of undertaking the course. 

Cancellation Policy: Cancellation of any courses will be discussed and arrangements made for an alternative date and time.

Payment Terms: For individual clients, payment is required on the day of training.  For group booking, payment terms are based on an agreement between the client and service provider. Refunds are not applicable.

Entry requirements: Participants must have physical capacity to undertake uninterrupted CPR for 2 mins.
